About Chad

Chad Couto has been in the fitness industry for 28 years. His first 10 years he operated the small gym, Locomotion, in Waterbury, VT. While operating Locomotion, Chad developed fitness programming in such disciplines as Step classes, Aerobic Classes, Body Toning Classes and strength conditioning programs for both individuals and teams.

Chad is certified in AFAA and ACE. He has conducted health testing for Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Co, as well as dry land strength conditioning for the Roundhearth ski camps in Stowe, Vermont.

It was at this time Chad started looking for a fitness challenge. He started training for triathlons. Now Chad has competed all over the country and has gone as far as Hawaii competing in the Hawaii Ironman.

Chad became the fitness director of Stoweflake Resort and Spa in 1998. It is here that he became a Master trainer in Nordic Walking and certified in TRX, Spin and RIP Training.

In 2016, Chad won the 4393 Awards for Best Trainer/Fitness Instructor in Lamoille County.

Chad has integrated his experience and certifications to develop and implement fitness programming that is applicable for any population or individual.
